Biography

Bilyana Dincova is formerly a US government attorney with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), where she prosecuted immigration cases and handled thousands of deportation cases as Assistant Chief Counsel. Born in Sofia, Bulgaria, she immigrated to the US with her family in 2003 through the Diversity Visa Lottery. Bilyana holds a Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies and Fine Art, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law, earned with honors. With over 12 years of experience in immigration law, Bilyana joined AK Poku Law as an attorney in January 2024. Her diverse experience spans multiple perspectives, including work with the immigration courts, DHS's Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and private practice. She has also clerked at the immigration court in Oakdale, Louisiana, and has served as a trial attorney at DHS. With her extensive experience and insider knowledge, Bilyana has been an invaluable addition to the team, helping review cases and develop effective legal strategies for clients.
